Account Deletion Policy
At Mytherapist.ng, we prioritize your privacy and provide an easy way to manage your account and data. If you wish to delete your account, follow the steps below.
How to Delete Your Account
To request the deletion of your account and associated data:

Log into Your Account on the Mytherapist.ng app or website.

Go to Profile tab → Privacy & Data.

Select the option Delete My Account.

Confirm your request by following the on-screen prompts.
Alternatively, you can email our support team at support@mytherapist.ng with the subject line “Account Deletion Request” and include your account details.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account?
When you request account deletion, the following applies:
Data That Will Be Deleted:

Personal details such as your name, email, and phone number.

Chat history and therapy session records.

Account preferences and saved settings.
Data That May Be Retained:

Payment Records: Transaction records will be retained for up to 12 months for legal and financial compliance.

Anonymized Data: Aggregated and anonymized information that cannot be linked to you may be retained for analytics and service improvement.

Retention Period for Certain Data: Data necessary to comply with legal obligations will be securely retained for up to 12 months before being permanently deleted.
Important Notes

Account deletion is permanent, and you will lose access to all your data, wallet balance, and services on Mytherapist.ng.

Wallet Balance Policy: Any wallet balance below ₦50,000 at the time of account deletion will be automatically forfeited is not eligible for withdrawal or refund. Balances ₦50,000 and above may be processed for refund upon written request before deletion.

If you have an active subscription or pending appointment booking, you must cancel it before requesting account deletion. Contact our support team for assistance.
